Rui (Suushi) and I posted a few things in the Turing section this weekend. Since most students that signed up are from grade 10 it would be more beneficial to them to see sample codes earlier as I believe grade 10s almost always do an ISU (independent study unit) in which you learn and create you own game. Grades 11s don't always do that.
The forums are a bit off at the moment because as you can see the uploads for code are direct from RTF so it looks awkward and is hard to download. Unfortunately, I know almost nothing about HTML but I'll look into site and ask Rui to fix it up.
Some sites are able to use the syntax

Which dramatically reduces the font of the code for copy and pasting code.
Please prepare your teams for the dwite competition. We will hosting a mock competition this month.
I will be speaking to our teacher sponsor tomorrow to check up on when our next meeting date will be.

you should also speak to the teacher about installing the jdk environment at our school. i don't understand, why the f*** the computers don't have it, it doesn't even cost money.

Hmm interesting idea. I'm not sure how viable that option is, seeing as java isn't taught at our school, but we can look into it. It actually takes quite a bit of work to install it for all the computers, so just doing it for our club.. i'm not sure how administration will take that.
For now we can carry java around on a USB, or use Ready to Program Java, which is portable too.
